Current Needs / Shifts : Full-time positions available with 12-hour shifts covering days and nights.
Responsibilities :
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to incarcerated individuals within Virginia's correctional facilities.
- Conduct health assessments, diagnose illnesses, and develop individualized care plans.
- Monitor patient conditions closely and provide prompt intervention as needed.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, adhering to all policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care and promote positive health outcomes.
- Educate patients on health maintenance and disease prevention strategies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.
- Respond promptly and effectively to medical emergencies.
Qualifications :
- Active RN licensure in the state of Virginia, in good standing.
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required.
- Previous experience in correctional or behavioral health settings preferred.
- Familiarity with medical software and equipment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent critical-thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
