Job Summary :
The Southcentral Foundation (SCF) BURT Senior Clinician is responsible for providing clinical mentoring and modeling of clinical practices and effective communication within the team, and may have some supervisory duties of clinical staff, under the direction of the Clinical Supervisor.
The Senior Clinician will complete consults as a lead clinician, as well as provide direction to team members on risk assessment decision making, behavioral health support, and disposition recommendations for youth and adult customer-owners presenting in crisis.
They will model effective communication and coordination with other departments and programs. Additionally, the position provides professional expertise as a consultant to various departments on the ANMC Campus.
SCF programs are established to serve a primary population comprised of Alaska Native people who are affiliated with Cook Inlet Region, Inc.
CIRI) and Alaska Native and American Indian people within SCF’s geographical service area. Employees should have a thorough understanding of the cultures and the needs of this population.

Qualifications :
- Master’s degree in behavioral health field including Counseling, Psychology or Social Work; or PhD or Psy.D. in Clinical or Counseling Psychology.
- Current License as an LPC, LMFT, LCSW or Psychologist.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. ACLS, NRP, ATLS, ALSO and PALS as required for specialty and any certification relating to the scope of practice as required.
- Three (3) years of Clinical experience or demonstrated proficiency as a Clinician II at SCF.
- Obtain an Approved Counselor Supervisor Certification from the Alaska Board of Professional Counselors within two years of hire.
