We're seeking a detail-oriented Regulatory Specialist to ensure regulatory compliance and support product development.

This role ensures packaging and labeling meet regulatory standards, supports product development, manages costing and pricing, and collaborates cross-functionally for successful product launches.

Key Responsibilities :

Regulatory Compliance : Ensure packaging and labeling meet standards; verify ingredient statements and nutritional info;

ensure USDA compliance.

  • Product Development : Obtain product specs and certifications from suppliers; manage samples; ensure timely delivery and quality.
  • Costing and Pricing : Calculate and analyze product costs; optimize recipes for cost and quality.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work with sales, marketing, production, and QA teams to ensure smooth product launches.
  • Continuous Improvement : Identify and implement process improvements for compliance and development.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Nutrition, Regulatory Affairs, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in food industry regulatory compliance and product development.
  • Knowledge of USDA guidelines; strong analytical, costing, and pricing skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities; proficient in Microsoft Office and regulatory software.

Working Conditions :

  • Full-time in Newark, NJ; occasional travel to suppliers; collaborative work environment with growth opportunities.
