CDL - A - Test Drivers Needed - Wittmann, AZ
Kett Engineering, established in 1953, a leader in the automotive testing industry is in need of CDL A Test Drivers on the 1st to work at a customer proving ground just outside of Surprise, AZ in Wittman, AZ.
Description : Heavy Duty Truck and trailer combo, DOT Driving requirements will be implemented, 5-6 days a week, 12 hour shifts staying in compliance with 60 / 7 driving regulations, 30-minute unpaid lunch break, pre-determined round-trip route of 300 miles per shift , test requirements will be explained at time of assignment.
Pay Rate : $25.00 / hr
Benefits : Non-benefited role
Shift hours may vary based on test requirements
Responsibilities :
- Complete a full vehicle evaluation and complete a clear and concise report and any other records for each vehicle during assigned shift.
- Drive on designated routes for 12-hour shifts while performing test procedures.
- Participate in all vehicle testing including but not limited to driving and designated special tests.
- Attention to detail and able to document findings.
- Operate vehicles in an extremely safe manner, obeying all laws of the road.
- Maintain safety and security procedures.
- Must be comfortable driving in inclement weather.
- Must be comfortable with driving on highways and dirt roads.
- Accurately communicate detailed findings verbally and legibly write detailed findings on reporting forms.
- Follow directions and execute tasks.
- Be reliable and maintain good attendance.
- Complete required trainings.
- Have a positive attitude and ability to contribute in a team environment.
Qualifications :
- Must be available to work up to 60 hours per week (as vehicle testing requires)
- Must be available to work weekends
- Valid Arizona CDL A License required
- Valid and up-to-date DOT Medical Card
- Clean Driving Record - Have no points, no major traffic citations, and / or accidents for the past five years. No DUI's.
- 5 Years licensed driving experience required .
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Must pass Drug Test and Background Check
