Responsibilities Mental Health Associate Transitional Living - PRN The Brook Hospital-KMI is currently seeking Mental Health Associates to work with our Men's Transitional Living House.

This is a specialized 12 bed program for those with Substance Use Disorders. This position is for weekends only, working two 12 hour sifts, 7a-7p.

Mental Health Associate Serves as an active member of the clinical staff; maintains a therapeutic relationship with all patients;

assists in maintenance of a safe, clean, therapeutic environment; assures patient participation in program activities; and performs technical / patient care duties relative to patient’s health and safety.

Job Duties / Responsibilities : Drives group in a passenger van to off-site AA meetings as needed Assists with groups with focus on Recovery focused topics Performs safety checks and patient observation rounds per guidelines Assists multidisciplinary team to ensure patient safety About Universal Health Services One of the nation’s largest and most respected providers of hospital and health-care services, Universal Health Services, Inc.

Some college preferred. Drivers license with excellent driving record to drive a passenger van Years of experience needed Direct patient care experience in a behavioral health setting is preferred.

Certifications Must maintain current CPR and first aid certification ( we will provide ) Computer skills Ability to : gain training through web-based programs;

participate in employee surveys; Communication Must possess excellent verbal skills in communicating with patients, coworkers and visitors.

Team work Must be able to work with a multidisciplinary team to ensure patient safety Service Excellence Consistently demonstrates all Service Excellence Standards.
