About The Position

Weekly Pay Range - $2547 To $2830 Job Title : CT Tech Job Specialty : CT Imaging Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 12-hour nights Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week Experience : Not specified License : Illinois Emergency Management Agency License Certifications : ARRT Registered in Radiology and CT Must-Have : Graduate of an approved school / program of Radiologic Technology;

Skill in performing radiographic procedures; Understands and adheres to drug-free workplace policies. Job Description : Prepare room, equipment, medicine, and materials for patient imaging procedures.

• Clean and disinfect imaging room and equipment thoroughly.- Administer barium and other contrast materials for X-rays.- Verify patient identity and explain procedures prior to examination.
• Postpone procedures if the patient's pain relief goal is not met.- Follow prescribed techniques for general and specific X-rays and radiation imaging scans.
• Perform specialized scans like CTAs and biopsy procedures.- Monitor patients and report unusual occurrences.- Adhere to department and hospital policies.
• Maintain stock supplies and perform general office duties.- Inspect emergency crash carts and maintain daily logs.- Operate mobile X-ray units in various hospital locations as needed.
• Assist in maintaining procedure protocols and transporting patients.- Perform quality control procedures on imaging equipment.
• Ensure radiation safety procedures are followed.- Practice aseptic techniques and obey infection control procedures.- Act decisively and calmly in crucial situations.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient and hospital information.- Complete and submit incident reports during the shift.- Demonstrate knowledge of safety policies and radiation procedures.
• Display effective communication and teamwork.- Attend mandatory trainings and complete employee surveys.- Respond flexibly to changes in work schedule and assist in various department roles as needed.

Additional Information : Subject to high-pressure and frequent interruptions.- Continuous direct contact with patients, families, radiologists, and staff.

• Supervised by Technical Director of Diagnostic Imaging; may direct transportation and radiology aides, as well as darkroom technicians.
• Responsible for adhering to the hospital's exposure control plan and infection control guidelines.- This position is open to local candidates.
