Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Principal Industrial Security Analyst. This position is located in Corinne (Promontory), Utah with limited, potential travel to the Roy, Utah campus and other program locations and will be supporting the Strategic Deterrent Systems Division.

What You’ll Get To Do

The selected candidate will serve as the Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO) and Sentinel security lead for the program in Promontory, UT.

The selected candidate will work with local site security, to include the site’s Facility Security Officer (FSO), as appropriate, but will be the security focal point for the program.

These tasks include (but are not limited to) :

  • Supporting fast-paced, high-profile programs, proposals and activities
  • Creating, maintaining and leveraging working relationships with internal and external customers
  • Developing and administering security programs and procedures for classified or proprietary materials, documents and equipment
  • Studying and implementing federal security regulations that apply to company operations
  • obtaining rulings, interpretations, and acceptable deviations for compliance with regulations from government agencies
  • Preparing manuals outlining regulations and establishing procedures for handling, storing and keeping records, and for granting personnel and visitor’s access to restricted records and materials
  • Conducting security education classes and related briefings
  • Investigating security violations and preparing reports specifying preventive action to be taken

This positions standard work schedule is a 9 / 80. The 9 / 80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree with 5 years of related experience, or Masters with 3 years of related experience, or 9 years of experience, with a minimum of 5 years of Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO) OR directly related experience, may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need
  • Strong working knowledge of DoD 5205.07 SAP Manuals, Volumes 1-4 and the National Industrial Security Program Manual (NISPOM)
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Strong leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to guide a team through dynamic environments
  • Ability to work independently and lead / follow projects through to completion
  • Ability to maintain flexibility in navigating changing priorities and deadlines
  • Self-starter with minimal supervision
  • Strong working knowledge of basic office automation tool suites such as MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills

These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have

  • Leadership experience (direct or indirect)
  • Experience in program security, with knowledge of implementing a multi-disciplined security program (access control, personnel security, physical security, OPSEC, etc.)
  • Experience supporting both internal and external customers
  • Willingness to work extended hours in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
  • Familiarity with DISS; Familiarity with DD254 requirements, creation and modification

Salary Range : $76,600 - $115,000The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.

Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and / or personal business.
