Psych Acute RN Full-Time Day Shift

Location : Scripps Mercy Hospital San Diego, Hillcrest

This is a full-time, benefits-eligible position with an 8-hour day shift, working 64 hours per pay period.

n n Position Overview :

As a Registered Nurse in our 36-bed Psychiatric Acute Unit , you will play a vital role in providing compassionate care for patients with behavioral health needs.

Key responsibilities include :

• Delivering direct patient care, including observation and management of psychiatric patients.
• Assessing, planning, and implementing care while continuously evaluating patients' progress toward expected outcomes.
• Taking primary responsibility for coordinating care delivered by the interdisciplinary Care Team.
• Managing de-escalation of behavioral disturbances and promoting a safe, therapeutic environment.

Required Experience & Specialized Skills :

• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience in a clinical setting.
• Current California Registered Nurse (RN) license .
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Proven ability to demonstrate positive, compassionate behaviors in patient care.

n n Preferred Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) .
• Previous RN experience in Behavioral Health or Emergency Department (ED) settings.

Position Pay Range : $57.00-$81.60 / hour
