Job Title : Network Administrator
Location : Anaheim, CA
Pay Range : $124,000 - $155,000 per year
Work Arrangement : 4 days onsite, flexible; occasional travel from San Diego to Lakewood for network updates
Responsibilities :
- Establish network specifications through user consultations and workflow analysis.
- Evaluate network performance issues related to availability, utilization, and latency.
- Plan, install, configure, and test network equipment.
- Define and maintain network policies and procedures.
- Upgrade and replace obsolete software and hardware.
- Ensure all network hardware / firmware is current.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain optimal network performance.
- Monitor network security and identify vulnerabilities.
- Advocate for and attend networking conferences and training.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Must Haves :
- 6+ years of pure networking experience (not systems-focused).
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity.
- Experience with CISCO and / or Extreme Networks (willingness to transition to Extreme Networks).
- Proficient with Fortinet firewalls.
- CCNA or Network+ certification (highly preferred).
Nice to Have :
- Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Additional certifications : CCSP, CCIE, Security+.
- Familiarity with Microsoft solutions (Active Directory, Windows Server, DHCP / DNS).
- Knowledge of SAN networking and virtualization technologies (VMware, Microsoft Azure).
- Strong troubleshooting abilities and excellent communication skills.
