Job Description Summary

The Enterprise Pacific Northwest office is seeking a Senior Program Officer to join our team working to catalyze affordable housing development across Washington and Oregon.

With targeted technical assistance, training, and grantmaking, we work to accelerate the development of public and tax-exempt property into affordable housing co-located early learning and other community facilities, as well as support community-based organizations to build capacity as they strengthen their local communities.

The new Senior Program Officer will help implement the Housing team’s work. They will be responsible for tracking a pipeline of public and tax-exempt sites with the potential to become affordable housing;

providing technical assistance to partners; and coordinating grants and contracts for site due diligence and feasibility studies.

The Senior Program Officer will report to our Senior Program Director in Seattle and will work closely with the Pacific Northwest team and others across Enterprise nationally, as well as public agencies, elected officials, affordable housing developers, and community-based organizations in Washington and Oregon.

They will leverage Enterprise’s extensive best practice toolkits, policy expertise, technical skills, and organizational strategies to support the disposition and development of public and tax-exempt land for the implementation of capital projects that meaningfully integrate quality housing, education, and community facilities.

Our team is working in a hybrid environment, with offices located in the Seattle Chinatown-International District.

Job Description

Responsibilities :

  • Support the ongoing work of the Housing Team by helping to achieve program goals and outcomes.
  • Manage existing and new grantees and contracts.
  • Provide technical assistance to and coordinate closely with public agencies, affordable housing developers, community-based organizations, and other stakeholders.
  • Track, review and analyze programmatic data.
  • Create reports and communicate project statuses to key partners.
  • Coordinate with colleagues to execute trainings, webinars and other events.
  • Provide support for new opportunities and special projects.

Qualifications :

  • Undergraduate degree required. Graduate degree in city planning, public policy, public administration, or other related field preferred.
  • Minimum of four (4) years of relevant work experience. Graduate degree may substitute up to two (2) years of experience.
  • Familiarity with the affordable housing, community development, or planning sectors, as well as with basic affordable housing finance.
  • Project Management experience.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Operates independently under minimal supervision; successfully handles new situations and environments.
  • Experience working in collaborative teams and a diverse set of stakeholders.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills; ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Attention to detail and emphasis on accuracy and quality of work.
  • Computer skills : Microsoft Office suite mandatory; SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite and ArcGIS or equivalent design and geospatial data software preferred.

Salesforce experience preferred.

The base salary for this role is $84,000 to $87,000, depending on level of skills and experience.

The salary range for this position is represented by the low and high end of the range for the amount to be paid for the position.

Salaries paid at Enterprise will vary based on factors that may include skills, education, location, experience, and performance.
