Senior Software Developer/Software Developer IV (On-site/Hybrid)

SimVentions, consistently voted one of Virginia's Best Places to Work, is looking for an experienced Senior Software Developer to join our team and p rovide software engineering in an Agile development environment as part of an integrated contractor-government team developing software for tactical weapons systems.

Responsibilities

Perform software engineering tasks including :

• analysis of specification documents
• design, implementation, and test of software modules
• software defect analysis and resolution
• software component documentation creation and maintenance
• mentor junior engineers

Required Skills & Experience

• Ten years of software development experience
• Experience with C++

Additional Requirements

Due to the requirements in the Safer Federal Workforce Taskforce guidance and the nature of our covered contracts and facilities, all employees may need to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or have a legal exemption with approved accommodation.

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Experience with Linux or Unix as a development platform
• Knowledge of Agile development methodologies

Education : A Bachelor's of Science (BS) degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline

Minimum Clearance : Interim Secret ( US Citizenship required )

Location : Dahlgren - On base with 20% telework
