This position is located in Canonsburg, PA, and is on-site five days a week. The Hours are 7 am -5 pm, with overtime as needed.

Role Overview :

The Buyer is responsible for assisting the Venturi Energy Segment in contacting suppliers and vendors to source and purchase various materials for the segment.

The buyer negotiates pricing and works closely with the Segment Purchasing Leader to meet cost and shipping requirements.

Responsibilities :

• Sources negotiate prices and complete purchase requisitions for requested supplies and materials.
• Initiates purchase orders utilizing the Eclipse system.
• Identifies the most cost-effective sources for supplies and materials that meet customer specifications.
• Checks order statuses and communicate with coworkers and customers.
• Follows up on orders as needed.
• Respond promptly when returning telephone calls and replying to correspondence, faxes, and emails regarding the purchasing and sourcing materials for the Energy segment.
• Act as a liaison between the Purchasing Department and all internal customers, management and vendors as directed.
• Communicate with coworkers, management, suppliers, and customers courteously and professionally.
• Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, safety rules, and instructions.
• Assist with preparing and assembling purchasing and shipping documents; distribute documents and other information to suppliers and vendors for bids;

maintain records and utilize the Eclipse system for all purchasing and inventory.

Respond appropriately to inquiries from sales and the warehouse on materials and shipping specifications, and maintain databases and registries of pricing and vendor information.

Requirements :

• PVF experience is required.
• Experience in the energy or industrial industry is necessary.
• Experience supporting / buying from multiple branches coast to coast.
• 2+ years of experience in buying or purchasing roles, preferably in the Energy market.
• Experience in essential negotiations, cost analysis, and supplier agreements.
• Experience coordinating with suppliers to resolve supplier quality concerns, invoicing issues, and past-due accounts.
• Strong interpersonal skills in working with team members, clients, and suppliers
• Organized, attention to detail, confidentiality, self-directed.
• Experienced in using Microsoft Office Word and Excel and an inventory management system preferably Eclipse.
• Ability to pass drug and background checks.
• Ability to travel as needed.
