Job Description

MUSC Health Orangeburg is seeking a BC / BE Physiatrist for the fulltime medical director role in Orangeburg, SC. The chosen candidate will be part of a team working to provide comprehensive care in the community.

As a partner and collaborator with our academic medical center, you’ll have access to advanced technologies such as specialty and sub-specialty diagnostic support, and direct affiliation with clinical centers of excellence, all to better empower you to increase and optimize care locally.

About the opportunity :

• Candidates must be BC / BE in Physiatry
• Eligible for South Carolina Licensure
• The team is made up of one other FT physiatrist, rehab nursing, PT, OT, SLP, and case management. Routine Hospitalist consultation and specialty consultative services are available as needed.
• Work is inpatient.
• Experience with general inpatient rehab care, including neurological, musculoskeletal, amputation, general medical conditions, team coordination and effective communication, and CMS inpatient rehab policies.

Since it was first established in 1919, MUSC Health - Orangeburg has grown from a small private hospital into a robust regional health care system.

MUSC Health Orangeburg’s network now includes a 286-bed acute care hospital in Orangeburg, a breast center with mobile mammography capabilities, Bamberg-Barnwell Emergency Medical Center, Express Care locations in Orangeburg and Santee, seven primary care clinics, and fifteen specialty practices located throughout Orangeburg, Bamberg and Calhoun counties.
