Senior Business Intelligence
Direct hire opportunity with our manufacturing client for a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst.
This position requires expertise in data delivery and administration using tools such as IBM Cognos and Power BI Reports.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data warehousing with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, MS SQL, Server BI Studio) and ETL technologies (e.
g., WhereScape, TimeXtender).
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver high-quality data reports and visualizations using IBM Cognos and Power BI.
- Manage and administer data warehousing solutions using relational databases and ETL technologies.
- Design, develop, and maintain data models, OLAP cubes, star schemas, and relational databases.
- Write and optimize complex SQL queries for data extraction and analysis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into data solutions.
- Provide expertise in financial reporting packages and support the financial reporting process.
- Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across all reporting and data analysis activities.
- Continuously improve data processes and implement best practices in data management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, OR a combination of education and 5 to 7 years of data warehouse / business intelligence experience.
- Prior manufacturing industry experience highly preferred
- Strong understanding of data modeling concepts, OLAP cubes, star schemas, and relational databases.
- High proficiency in SQL and SQL Server databases.
- Experience with financial reporting packages.
- Proven ability to manage and administer data warehousing solutions.
- Proficiency in using IBM Cognos and Power BI for data reporting and visualization.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
