Certification Details
ACLS is required for all acute care positions depending on the facility to include Ortho, ICU, IMC, MS / Tele. ACLS certification is required for Interventional Radiology (per UMMS Certification Policy PS-0350).
AHA ONLY! E-Cards must include eCodes. (ARC will be reviewed on a case by case basis). Cannot expire within 30 days of start, must be renewed prior to start date.
- Medical Assistants require AHA BLS. Laboratory does not require BLS.
- PALS is required for Peds ER and Pediatrics. Not required for OR and Adult ER. Cannot expire within 30 days of start, must be renewed prior to start date.
Will not accept proof of course completion letters.
- NRP is required for NICU. Cannot expire within 30 days of start, must be renewed prior to start date.
- EFM is preferred for Labor and Delivery positions. Facility will provide 18 months to achieve the certification.
- Tech Cert Verification - National required as applicable for Allied positions.
- STABLE required for Mother-Baby / Couplet Care / Post-Partum.
- State License 1 Verification required.
- A current stroke certification may be required for RNs in ICU, PACU, IMC, ER, MS / Tele, and any traveler dealing with stroke patients.
This can be completed by any vendor.
- NIH Stroke Certification required for ICU, IMC, ER, Tele, and any traveler dealing with stroke patients.
- CPI - Crisis Prevention Institute preferred but not required prior to start. If not, training will be provided onsite.
Job Details
BLS, ARRT, and Maryland State license required. Performing EKGs; Discontinuing sheaths. 24 / 7 CT department. 3 scanners 1 dedicated to the ED.
Under general supervision of the CT Supervisor, performs CT protocols and procedures using highly technical CT equipment.
Counsels patients on the procedures to be performed. Assists physician with biopsies and drainage. Positions patients on equipment.
Operates scanner and related equipment in the examination of patients.
Job Requirements
- BLS, ARRT, and Maryland State license required.
- Certification / license ARRT, MD State Radiographer (must have MD license), CPR, CT certification (preferred).
Schedule Information
- 12 weeks, 10 : 30am-11pm with rotating weekends, and holiday requirement.
