IBP Solutions US, LLC dba Masonite Architectural currently operates as a standalone entity.
Masonite Architectural leverages a Lean operating system to systematically focus on the identification & elimination of waste and non-value-added activities to drive value across the organization.
Our goal is the seamless flow of material and data from incoming raw materials to our customers. The Lean Engineer will lead initiatives across the Architectural division by partnering with individual sites, as well as cross-functionally, to drive improvement and support growth in all SQDIPP metrics.
This leader will accomplish goals through both onsite and virtual support. Travel is 66%-75%, typically that is two weeks of traveling (home on weekends) and one week at home site and / or work from home.
Responsibilities :
Learn the Architectural Continuous Improvement (CI) program through internal training provided by the Continuous Improvement and Plant Leadership teams.
Training will be provided as well as Yellow Belt Training.
Assist in leading and supporting CI activities at specified Sites.
Drive process improvements that sustain project goals, and provide timely, accurate, and meaningful information on project status, and keep updated financial records of project.
Support strategic project and be responsible for completing assigned tasks to achieve specific project goals.
Work with Continuous Improvement Team to create new process documentation, training materials, Standard operating procedure documents, and providing training to the plant operators.
Identify and execute opportunities to improve process and material flow for Continuous Improvement activities.
Be proactive in finding opportunities for improvement and take personal responsibility for implementation of those improvements while using Lean methodologies.
Ensure the targets for CI savings are achieved at assigned sites through project management, project leadership and CI process implementation.
Qualifications :
Minimum bachelor’s degree with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, or Business or associate degree with 2+ years of experience.
Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred but not required.
Experience participating in a team environment.
Lean training and certification preferred but not required.
Must be skilled in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to influence others.
Self-directed, able to drive change, and exceed expectations of internal and external customers.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications :
Vizio and AutoCAD knowledge.
Operations leadership / Supervision experience.
Lean Leader or Green Belt certified.
Bi-lingual in French or Spanish.
