Job Description

Eurofins is currently looking to hire a Courier / Field Technician in Hanover, MD :

Courier / Field Technician responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following :

• Transportingsamples in accordance with appropriate project-specific sampling and analysis plans and protocols
• Maintaining quality control of all assignments and completing documents as appropriate
• Followingand enforcing company health and safety policies.
• Following technical instructions and guidance.
• Operatinga company vehicle.
• The Courier / Field Technicianwill drive within a 100 mile radius of Hanover, MD, and include travel to Baltimore and other areas of Maryland, Virginia, and the D.

C. metro area, as well as other locations as needed.

• Role will be an estimated 60% courier / driving / sampling responsibilities, and 40% order filling.
• Assists with routine and non-routine data collection activities for environmental monitoring programs, which may involve hazardous material / waste project sites.
• Basic laboratory duties as assigned

The position is part-time : estimated 30 hours / week between the hours of M-F, 9am-5 : 30pm.

Qualifications

Basic Minimum Qualifications :

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• A valid state issued driver's license to drive delivery vehicles is required as an employee with driving responsibilities.
• Must be able to operate a motor vehicle
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

The ideal candidate would possess :

• Associate Degree in Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry, or related field
• Previous experience in field sampling
• Previous Microbiology experience
• Ability to follow GPS directions
• Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
• Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies

Additional Information

Professional working proficiency in English is a requirement, including the ability to read, write and speak in English.

Pay range : $18-20 / hour
