Position Summary
As a Front Desk Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our organization. You will welcome guests and greet people who visit the business.
You will also coordinate front-desk activities, including distributing correspondence and redirecting phone calls. To be successful in this role, you should have excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to multitask effectively.
This is a part-time position (20 hours / week). This position works fully on-site at the Lids corporate office in NW Indianapolis.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
- Welcome on-site visitors, determine nature of business and announce visitors to appropriate personnel.
- Answer incoming telephone calls; determine purpose of callers and forward calls to appropriate personnel or department.
Retrieve messages from voice mail and forward to appropriate personnel.
- Monitor inventory levels of office supplies and request to place orders when necessary.
- Follow security procedures by monitoring logbooks and requesting visitor badges as needed.
- Receive, sort, and distribute daily mail and deliveries. Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence efficiently.
- Main conference room scheduling to include meeting set-up and clean-up.
- Support and adhere to all company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
Job Required Knowledge & Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent plus one-year relative experience.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate verbally in a clear, audible, and grammatically correct manner.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven ability to perform independently with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other relevant software.
