About this position

The Patient Representative facilitates the process for the prompt investigation of customer grievances and partners with team members to resolve customer dissatisfaction by actively and consistently demonstrating the mission, vision, values, and guiding principles of North Memorial Health.

The Patient Representative serves as an advocate for all NMH patients and visitors, to ensure quality of care and excellent customer experience.

Requirements

Education

Bachelor's degree in a health related or social service field strongly preferred. Previous

experience working in a healthcare setting may be substituted for part of preferred educational

qualifications

2+ years of patient relations or advocacy experience

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Excellent written and verbal communication

Superior critical thinking, organizational, and analytical skills

Ability to relate well with people of various backgrounds at all levels of the organization

Solid PC skills to include use of electronic medical records (EMR), MS applications, Internet, etc.

Ability to deal with conflict and utilize de-escalation skills

Strong communication and writing skills with demonstrated ability to express ideas and information

clearly and concisely in a manner appropriate to the audience.

Maintain quality, safety, and infection control standards.

Demonstrate quality customer service excellence

Must be able to read, write and speak effectively in English
