VHS is looking for an OB / GYN Hospitalist for Hobbs, NM!

Program Details

• Program Start Date : TBD
• 12 or 24 Hour Shifts : 24
• Hospitalists to Provide GYN Coverage : Yes
• Hospitalists Required to Perform Circumcisions : No
• Hospitalists Needed for First Assist : Yes
• First Assist Available to the Hospitalists : Hospitalists to Backup Midwives : TBD
• Hospitalists to Backup Family Practice : No
• Backup Available to the Hospitalists : ED & General Surgery.

• NICU Level : II
• Total Hospital Deliveries (monthly avg.) : 30 Estimated Deliveries for Hospitalists(monthly) : 30
• Estimated Patient Encounters for Hospitalists 15 / day in clinic, 5 / day in hospital
• MFM onsite : No
• Residency Program : No
• In-house Anesthesia : Yes, During the day. CNRA on call at night.

• Seven fully equipped labor and delivery rooms
• 15 private OB / GYN suites
• Two suites for cesarean sections
• A fully equipped nursery to care for premature babies, and relationships with regional neonatal intensive care units (NICU) so that we can quickly and efficiently arrange a transfer if specialized care is needed
• Couplet care that emphasizes bonding between mother and baby
• High-tech security for peace of mind
• 24 / 7 monitoring for mother and baby
