Job Description
- Respond to service calls as promptly and efficiently as possible and in a quality manner.-Visually inspect machines and correct any deficiencies.
- Perform all duties as assigned by manager / supervisor.-Review all service tickets for routes assigned.-Ensure all necessary service van inventory is stocked and accounted for.
- Maintain petty cash to cover all refunds and unanticipated developments.-Complete work order and service ticket for each machine worked on and turned into receipt box each day.
- Turn in all used parts and parts replenishment list to the parts department for replacement after each shift.-All service keys and lock books are to be deposited in designated area when not in use and will not be left in vehicles or taken home (unless in a remote area).
- Maintain Service Van in a clean and orderly condition at all times.-Punctuality Daily attendance is mandatory, which includes being on time and present unless otherwise approved in advance.
Stay until designated leave time. -All other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
High school diploma or GED is required. At least 1+ years of experience in the laundry industry or previous electrical or mechanical experience / education is preferred.
Service Technician will be required to be on call and available for 24 hours a day if necessary.-Must have basic mechanical, problem solving, oral, and written communication skills.
- Must have the discipline to work with little supervision and ability to handle several projects simultaneously.-Computer experience including the use of e-mail, internet, ability to navigate a parts lookup software package and general ability to read diagrams.
- Must be able to lift machines, with a dolly, weight of 40-70 pounds.-Must be able to stand / sit for most of an eight-hour shift.
- It is required for the field associate to be frequently lifting, walking, bending, twisting, reaching, squatting, and driving.
