Part-Time Driver

The Driver position at Radiant plays a key role in supporting operations by safely transporting goods, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring timely and efficient delivery. This position involves a variety of transportation-related responsibilities and requires adaptability to meet business and operational needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate company-owned and leased trucks for shipping, receiving, pickup, and delivery.
  • Provide excellent customer service during all delivery and pick-up interactions.
  • Plan routes to ensure efficient and economical use of time and equipment.
  • Load and unload trucks, ensuring cargo is properly secured and protected.
  • Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections; promptly report any mechanical issues.
  • Follow all traffic laws and company safety procedures.
  • Accurately complete required paperwork and documentation.
  • Communicate delays, accidents, or other transportation issues as they arise.
  • Maintain company vehicles and equipment in clean and serviceable condition.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support overall station operations.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant driving or delivery experience.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Familiarity with the Greater Twin Cities geography preferred.
  • Technical & Professional Skills

  • Proficiency in operating trucks, vehicles, and related equipment.
  • Ability to monitor vehicle gauges and systems to ensure proper operation.
  • Strong commitment to safety, accuracy, and timeliness.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Team-oriented with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Work Schedule

  • Regular shifts of 4-6 hours per day with required breaks.
  • Consistent punctuality and reliability expected.
  • Must ensure coverage of responsibilities when absent.
  • Work Environment

  • Moderate noise levels in office and warehouse settings.
  • Work performed both indoors (climate-controlled office / warehouse / vehicle) and outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat and cold.
  • Physical Demands

  • Regularly required to walk, sit, reach, talk, and hear.
  • Frequently required to stand, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
  • Mathematical & Language Skills

  • Ability to perform basic math (add, subtract, multiply, divide) with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
  • Able to read and interpret maps, schedules, instructions, and correspondence.
  • Capable of writing routine reports and communicating clearly with team members, customers, and partners.

  • Salary Range : $18.00 - $20.00 Hourly Salary Range
  • Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to an individual's education, work experience, skills, and job-related knowledge. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
  • Other compensation includes, but is not limited to, bonuses, commissions, or stock options.
