STARTING SALARY :

Paramedic pay range is $59,055 annually; starting salary for EMT is $53,144 with excellent benefits including pension, paid vacation, paid sick leave, holiday pay, comp time, trade time, and health and dental coverage.

This is skilled fire fighter work performed as part of the Public safety operations of the City.

Work involves the performance of related emergency and non-emergency fire and medical duties in line with departmental operations, as well as maintenance of all fire fighting and medical equipment, building and grounds. Work is performed according to departmental procedures and regulations and instructions received from a superior officer who supervises and evaluates work performed. In the absence of a higher ranking officer, the fire fighter will begin operations according to standard firefighting practices and departmental standard operating procedures.
