Hope Clinic is currently seeking a part-time Clinical Nursing Coordinator to schedule, manage, and train clinic volunteers at the Ypsilanti Medical Clinic location.
This critical position oversees the interviewing, onboarding, and training process for all clinical volunteers, in addition to performing general clinical duties and clinic-related administrative tasks.
We are an inter-denominational Christian medical and social service provider offering totally free, whole-person care to the uninsured and underinsured, serving all in Jesus' name.
The Clinical Nurse Coordinator position is expected to work approximately 24 hours per week. We offer competitive pay in a supportive environment, plus paid time off, and a generous paid holiday schedule that includes the week between Christmas and New Years Day.

Requirements and Experience :
- Active RN license
- At least 3 years of clinical experience
- Experience with chronic disease
- Operational and case management experience highly preferred
- Supervisory experience a plus
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Primary areas of responsibility include :
Patient Services
- Retrieve consult notes, lab, and imaging results from outside systems and place in patient chart
- Respond to patient calls for test results or test questions
- Provide back-up help for rooming staff
- Follow-up on virtual clinician visits for all post visit tasks
General Clinic Services
- Interview and train volunteers for rooming at clinics
- Validate required clinical credentials for all clinic volunteers
- Coordinate CPR training for volunteers and staff
- Quality checks on A1c, BP machines, and glucometers
- Stock and monitor clinic and exam room supplies; assign tasks to volunteers
- Oversee maintenance of medical equipment used in clinic to ensure functionality
- Sanitize and sterilize used sterile devices
- Order clinic supplies and maintain records of invoices sent / received
- Ensure OSHA compliance for AED maintenance, Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for all chemicals used in clinic, blood borne pathogen processes and sterilization of equipment used in clinic
- Create and update clinical policy and procedures
- Oversee chart review and out takes
- Routine reporting as required
Donations
- Monitor and respond to all calls on the donation line or assign to a volunteer
- Monitor and process all non-medication donations (may be assigned to a nurse volunteer)
- Maintain donation log and donor correspondence
- Provide value of donated medications
- Prepare donation forms for Finance
- Prepare donations not kept by Hope for dispensing to other agencies
