1.Leadership and Management :
oLead and mentor the accounting team, including managers, accountants, and support staff.
oDevelop and implement departmental goals, objectives, and standard operating procedures.
oManage staffing, performance evaluations, and professional development for accounting personnel.
2.Financial Reporting :
oOversee the preparation and accuracy of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
oEnsure timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
oCoordinate with external auditors for annual audits and implement audit recommendations.
3.Compliance and Controls :
oEnsure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and other regulatory requirements.
oDevelop and maintain internal controls to safeguard the company’s assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
oMonitor and address any discrepancies or issues in financial reporting.
4.Financial Analysis and Strategy :
oProvide strategic financial insights and analysis to support business decisions and performance improvement.
oAnalyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for cost reduction or efficiency gains.
oCollaborate with other departments to develop budgets and forecasts.
5.Process Improvement :
oIdentify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within the accounting function.
oUtilize technology and accounting software to streamline processes and reporting.
6.Regulatory and Tax Compliance :
oOversee compliance with tax regulations and ensure accurate and timely filing of tax returns.
