Job Description :
As a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Operating Room, you will contribute professional nursing knowledge and skills in the provision and management of care to patients through the application of the nursing process.
Your role will include both scrubbing and circulating in a variety of surgical cases.
EMR : Epic
Operating Rooms : 16 OR suites, with 12-14 in regular use, plus reserved space for trauma as the facility is a Level 1 Trauma Center.
Special Equipment :
- 3 DaVinci robots for robotic surgeries.
- Stealth technology for Neuro navigation.
- Synthes or Stryker equipment for ortho trauma (limited ortho joint cases).
Service Lines :
- Cardiac / PV, Neuro, Ortho (primarily trauma), Robotics, Gyn, Urology, General Surgery, Pediatrics, and Transplants.
- Limited ENT and Plastic Surgery procedures.
- On-call : Weekend call is required from end of shift on Friday until 6 : 30 AM Monday.
Requirements :
- Minimum of 2+ years of current Operating Room (OR) experience required.
- Experience in both scrubbing and circulating is required.
- Strong experience in various surgical cases, including ortho, neuro, trauma, and abdominal surgeries.
- Level I Trauma experience is preferred.
- COVID-19 vaccination is mandatory (medical / religious exemptions must be pre-approved).
- Candidates must live over 60 miles away from the facility; local candidates are not being considered.
