JobResponsibilities :

• Review schedules and prepare work plans and look aheadschedules for distribution to subcontractors &suppliers.
• Conduct PreConstruction Planning conduct onsite projectmeetings with subcontractors and trades leadpersonnel.
• Ascertain that foreman are well qualified and areefficiently carrying out duties assigned.
• Ensure proper layouton project making certain that the proper grades are followed andthe structure is accurately located.
• Set up job office;see that permits are obtained and that they are posted asrequired.
• Set up sanitary stations and trashdisposal.
• See that the safety regulations are followed by companyand subcontractor crews.
• Hold safety meetings.
• Maintain a first aidkit onsite for emergency use.
• Have thorough knowledge of the plans andspecifications for each project assigned. Review requirements aheadof scheduled task in order to initiate any required coordinationmeetings or mockups.
• Maintain a high standard of quality control at alltimes.
• See that good housekeeping practices are observed andmaintained by all parties at all times.
• Generate RFI s asrequired to identify and / or clarify any discrepancies.
• Maintain a goodworking relationship with the Project Manager seeking theirassistance in the scheduling of materials equipment andsubcontractors.
• Keep the project schedule current review schedulestatus and job cost each month updating project scheduleweekly.
• Maintain inventory control over tools and equipmentascertaining that movable tools are returned to the tool room andall other equipment is adequately secured.
• Secure the projecteach night as required.
• Assist foremen and subcontractors with anyproblems.
• Accurately make out the Superintendent s daily reporteach day.
• Review attendance of all workers each morning andafternoon to ensure that sufficient workforce is in place forrequired activities.
• Ensure that all change orders areproperly executed and indicated on asbuilt plans.
• Attend preconstruction and construction meetings takingnotes on areas that may present a future problem or delay andpresent to the Project Manager for consultation.
• Call for requiredinspections and assist inspectors on their projectreviews.
• Maintain good relationships with inspectors architectssubcontractors and other key people connected with theproject.
• Coordinate maintenance of equipment on the project andsupervise effective utilization.
• Attend all technicalmeetings for the purpose of discussing job progress and problemareas.
• Maintain close communication with Project Manager onany unforeseen problems which may develop.
• Assist ProjectManager in estimating percent completion of each item for monthlyinvoicing and of labor for each job cost report.

These duties may be altered from time to time bymanagement to suit the needs of the company.

Job Qualifications :

• 510 years of Superintendent experience on$4000000$commercial construction projects
• Strong leadershipskills
• Must be computer literate and is willing to learn theProCor software that this company uses.
• Be able tocommunicate effectively with internal leadership andsubcontractors
• Stable work history
• ProCor software experience is highlypreferred.
