Thorough knowledge of Organizational Change management / communications strategies and best practices; ability to develop written communications material for print and electronic media.

Experienced with designing detailed project plans, implementation and support for OCM / Communications activities.

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, meeting established timelines and tracking budgets as well as strong written, verbal and interpersonal communications skills, ability to work with all levels of management.

Typically possess 8-10 years experience as a project manager, communications specialist, OCM specialist or related role.

Bachelors degree in Business, Journalism, Communications, Information Technology or related field.

Day to Day responsibility :

Develop a new training curriculum for a large utility in the Los Angeles area. The candidate must have experience designing and creating instructional deliverables for Client field personnel.

Must have a very high acumen for electrical work.

Design and develop an overall training curriculum.

  • Research, design and develop technical training courses in areas governed by state / federal utility regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct needs assessment and job / task analysis to determine the scope of training.
  • Create instructional content (hybrid) and job aids.
  • Identify issues for management follow-up as needed.
  • Collaborate with multiple SMEs in multiple specialty areas.

Required Skills :

  • Excellent organizational and project management skills are required. Must be able to review, re-organize and streamline multiple environmental compliance topics.
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal guidance.
  • Advanced skills / experience in instructional design practices and methodologies, including ADDIE and SAM.
  • Minimum 7+ years developing training content.
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Office products including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and SharePoint.
  • Advanced skills in developing eLearning content with Articulate Storyline or Rise.
  • Must be experienced in producing and editing video and audio content.
  • Must be proficient with additional tools such as SnagIt or Camtasia.
  • Desired Skills;
  • Experience working for a utility is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Cal / OSHA or Fed OSHA rules and regulations
  • Basic understanding of electrical theory (Ohms law, circuits connections, paths of least resistance)
  • Ability to read and interpret policies and procedures
  • Experience working with field crews (construction, mechanics, pipefitters )
