Exemptions considered for medical or religious reasons Job Description : - Work in a telemetry unit with specific protocols and patient care requirements.
- Monitor and document patient's cardiac rhythms and other vital signs. - Administer medications including drips like Cardizem, Amiodarone, Labetolol, and others per protocol.
- Collaborate with a team including hospitalists, pharmacists, and respiratory therapists who are in-house 24 / 7. - Utilize Epic Systems Corporation's EpicCare Inpatient EMR for charting.
- Maintain professionalism in navy blue scrubs and ensure appearance guidelines are followed. - Potential floating to ICU for overflow, Ortho, or MedSurg if necessary.
- Opportunity for extra shifts and open to extended contracts up to 48 hours per week. - Participate in floor-specific orientation to ensure a smooth transition to the unit.
- Care for patients with a variety of conditions including elevated troponin, post-STEMI recovery, and more. Additional Information : - Charge nurses are present, with some variability in staffing.
- Patient care technician availability may vary; usually aiming for three per floor when fully staffed. - Floor-specific training and orientation will be provided based on experience.
- Occasional holiday work may be required based on unit needs. - Block scheduling available depending on contract agreement.
