The PACT Medical Director reports directly to Primary Care Leadership regularly for quality improvement progress, while also providing direct medical care to Veterans.
This position will work out of the Yuma CBOC (community-based outpatient clinic). Duties include but are not limited to the following :
- Overseeing the operations for patient care according to the rules and regulations set by the Veterans Healthcare Administration, Medical Bylaws, Primary Care SOPs, and all other federal and State laws, rules and regulations.
- Develops, reviews, and implements clinic policies and procedures as needed with final approval from the Chief of Primary Care.
Trains clinic and ancillary staff on the new policies and procedures as effectively and efficiently as possible.
- Reviews Veteran complaints, investigates, delegates, and summarizes cohesive response along with the clinic office manager and clinical nurse manager.
- Ensures communication and collaboration with Ancillary Services and their leadership.
- Works seamlessly with other health care team members and supports VA patient satisfaction initiatives.
- Provides direct patient care to optimize patient health including ordering diagnostic testing, prescribing medication including contraceptive medication, consulting with specialty services, and utilizing computerized / electronic medical records.
- Provides patient care in accordance with professional standards, core values and commitment to service excellence.

Pay : Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases.
