Job Description : We are looking for a motivated and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in Portland, OR.
This school-based role focuses on working with students to improve their speech, language, and communication abilities, helping them succeed both academically and socially.
Responsibilities :
- Conduct thorough assessments to diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in students.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students' needs.
- Deliver speech and language therapy using evidence-based practices.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and school professionals to support student progress.
- Document student evaluations, therapy sessions, and progress reports accurately.
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide recommendations for classroom accommodations.
- Provide training and guidance to teachers and parents on communication strategies.
Qualifications :
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Valid Oregon SLP license.
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred.
- Previous school-based experience is advantageous.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
