Must-Have : Experience in a large critical care facility (300 beds or more)

Description :

This position involves providing care for general medicine, intermediate, and ICU patients.

The average number of treatments per day is estimated between 26-28 points using the AARC point system.

The primary ventilators used include Servo U, Servo i, and LTV.

The cpap / Bipap systems utilized are ResMed S9, and the heated high flow equipment is from Fisher Paykel.

A team lead is present on each shift, who serves as a resource and does not take an assignment.

Hospitalists and intensivists are available 24 / 7.

The scheduled shifts are 0630-1900 for days and 1830-0700 for nights.

Every other weekend commitment is required, covering both Saturday and Sunday for day and night shifts.

Holiday coverage is also required every other holiday.

There is no call or standby call requirement.

Floating to other areas is not required within the respiratory therapy department.

Any color scrubs are acceptable, and scrubs are not provided.

Department-specific orientation spans the first 12 hours, followed by additional training with a preceptor before working independently.
