KBR is seeking a Business Development Senior Manager / Director for Mission Technology and Software Services . The Business Development Senior Manager will lead Senior level customer engagements with civilian agencies.

This position will focus on impactful customer engagement in order to assist civilian government agencies with their technology-based mission support programs.

The BD lead will also provide leadership to plan, organize, manage, and continuously improve the pipeline and mission software business development results.

Developing and implementing strategic and tactical plans to achieve objectives of business growth is a must have capability.

This position will solicit and assemble advanced knowledge of federal Civilian agency mission needs, current systems, future requirements, and organizations to position KBR for pursuit of new contracts and customers.

Must be a U.S. Citizen to be considered due to the sensitivity of customer related information

Responsibilities :

  • Build and manage a realistic and winnable set of program pursuits for our mission technology portfolio
  • Engage with customers to identify and position for new business program pursuits
  • Be a leader, but work collaboratively as a team to manage strategic growth campaign initiatives
  • Expand KBR’s public sector mission software portfolio by winning key single award programs from $50M-$1B
  • Provide thought leadership on the mission technology campaign to KBR leadership to shape business strategies

Required Education, Experience, & Skills :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field
  • 12+ years of related work experience with at least 8 + years of experience of successful experience winning new business and growing business.
  • Equivalent related work experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
  • Experience in the following discipline(s) : Business development, capture management, mission software related agency programs, government acquisition processes, opportunity identification and qualification, and winning new business
  • Expert level experience or understanding of the current civilian mission technology marketplace
  • Significant and relevant customer relationships across civilian agencies related to technology-based programs
  • Proven success in initiating and participating in business strategy development, and leading business development and capture activities
  • Experience managing and nurturing top-level customer and potential customer relationships and conducting customer analyses
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to support marketing communications tasks and events

Preferred Experience & Skills :

  • Understanding of the civilian mission software market with experience leading the winning of new business of sizable single award programs
  • Experience with recent senior customer engagements in civilian agencies

Work Location :

This position offers a hybrid work schedule; some hours will be remote, and some hours will be in the Fulton, MD office.
