Position Purpose : Manage assigned accounting functions. Provide accounting services in an ethical, legal and moral manner, consistent with applicable regulatory and accreditation standards.

Qualifications / Basic Job Requirements :

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business or a related field
• Two years’ experience in general accounting procedures or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
• Excellent organizational skills
• Self-starter with ability to work independently
• Ability to work within a team
• Belief in the mission and vision of Rosecrance
• Work hours prescribed by the Director of Finance and any additional hours deemed necessary for the responsibilities assigned.

Key Responsibilities :

• Monthly Financial Statements :
• Prepare, post, and upload journal entries
• Reconcile accounts as assigned
• Calculate accrued expenses for month-end recording
• Review journal entries for appropriateness / adherence to GAAP
• Approve journal entries
• Banking / Cash :
• Prepare daily or weekly deposits
• Verify bank receipts
• Reconcile cash receipts to cash journal postings
• Maintain check registers
• Complete monthly bank reconciliations
• Conduct petty cash audits
• Prepare monthly fee for service utilization reports
• Prepare monthly grant utilization reports
• Prepare other reports as requested
• Reconcile reports to revenue accounts
• Identify opportunities for performance or process improvements
• Provide feedback to clinical teams
• File reports as required with funders

Location : Can be located in Chicago, Rockford, or Champaign, IL or Sioux City, IA

Schedule : 8-hour shifts, 8 : 30am - 5 : 00pm, Monday through Friday (Hybrid schedule available after training period)
