Position Overview :
The OR Nurse is responsible for providing patient care before, during, and after surgery by assessing, planning, and implementing appropriate nursing interventions.
The role may include serving as a patient educator, circulating nurse, or scrub nurse, ensuring a safe and sterile environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Assess and plan patient care before, during, and after surgery.
- Serve as a circulating nurse (working outside the sterile field) or scrub nurse (handling instruments within the sterile field).
- Prepare and manage surgical instruments and equipment.
- Educate patients and families on post-operative care.
Requirements :
- Experience : 24 months of recent experience in an Acute Care Surgery setting.
- License / Certification : Active RN License, BLS, and ACLS certifications.
- Education : Degree from an accredited nursing program.
Certification : Basic Life Support , Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support
