HOW THE DATA ARCHITECT WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
- Serve as the lead technical resource for strategic oversight and planning of database structural design and development.
- Provide technical, strategic guidance to senior level database administrators and application developers in the creation and implementation of new databases.
- Maintenance of major existing databases supporting evolving applications.
- Provide strategic guidance to data stewards on the development and implementation of data models to support organizational business processes.
- Lead and consult to all levels of the organization on the design, development and implementation of logical database structures and classification schema.
- Develop policies and procedures to build, maintain and leverage the data model.
- Provide technical, strategic guidance on the development of metadata tags, Document Type Definitions (DTD), and schemas using appropriate technologies for representation such as HTML and XML.
- Ensure that metadata and data standards and definitions support both local business processes and system implementations, and corporate requirements for sharing data.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED :
- Education : BA / BS (or equivalent experience)
- Required Experience : 10+ years of relevant experience
- Required Technical Skills :
- Understanding of Postgres
- Metadata tags, Document Type Definitions (DTD), and schemas using appropriate technologies for representation such as HTML and XML.
- Security Clearance Level : TS / SCI w / Polygraph
- Location : Herndon, VA - Customer Site
