Job Title : Engineering Technician Description : Join Busek’s team in developing state-of-the-art miniature electric propulsion systems that are transforming the landscape of space exploration.
Working with a focused group, you will play a key role in designing, testing, and refining electrospray and other propulsion technologies from the ground up.
Busek’s propulsion systems are used across a diverse range of spacecraft, including CubeSats, small satellites, and large geostationary platforms, serving high-profile customers like NASA, DARPA, and the Department of Defense.

Key Responsibilities : Assemble and test electric propulsion systems and high-vacuum facilities Set up facilities, including power supplies and flow cabinets for testing Design, fabricate, and implement test jigs and automation setups Develop LabView-based automation and perform data analysis in MATLAB Formulate and document test procedures, relay design feedback, and write reports Skills & Experience : Electronics testing, high-voltage systems, and precision hardware assembly Proficiency in LabView, MATLAB, and CAD software (SolidWorks preferred) Background in electric propulsion systems, ion beam diagnostics, and high-vacuum facilities BS in Engineering with 2+ years’ relevant experience in industry or graduate research Additional Requirements : U.
