About The Position
Job Title : Certified Surgical Technician Job Specialty : Certified Surgical Technician Job Duration : 13 Weeks Shift : Day - 3x12 - 11 : 00 - 23 : 45 (36 Hours) Guaranteed Hours : Not specified Experience : Minimum years of experience not specified License : Not specified Certifications : BLS Must-Have : - Ability to scrub all cardiac cases, including heart and lung transplants- Willingness to take call Job Description : Participate as an essential member of the surgical team.
- Prepare and maintain a sterile field for surgical procedures.- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and supplies.
- Ensure all surgical equipment is sterilized and ready for use.- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
- Demonstrate proficiency in handling and caring for surgical instruments.- Organize and prepare operating rooms for expected procedures.
- Follow hospital policies and procedures in relation to surgical services.- Maintain accurate counts of sponges, needles, and instruments with the circulating nurse.
- Perform duties as rotating call technician, ensuring availability for emergency cases.- Support a busy academic level 1 trauma center environment.
