Essential Functions :
Assists Senior mechanic with day-to-day duties such as machine troubleshooting , light plumbing, carpentry, elec trical, and forklift maintenance.
Also moves furniture, waters batteries, changes light bulbs.
Non-Essential Fu ncti ons :
- Assist with compan y related functions.
- Ot h er duties may be assigned, directed, or requested .
Qualifications :
- High School diploma or GED equivalent preferred
- Must possess valid driver's license.
- Previous experience in warehouse environment and 1- 3 year s work experience in general repairs
- Experience with using hand t ools : d rills, Saws, hammers, and wrenches.
- Operation of electric forklifts

- Must be able to stand u p to 10 hours in a day.
- Must be able to walk up to 8 hours.
- Will continuously reach up and out.
- Wi ll o ccasionally climb.
- Will occ asionally push / pull from 11 to 7 5 pounds.
- Will frequently bend , stoop, reach up and out, crou ch, kneel, and push / pull from 35 to 50 pounds.
- Will frequently lift to 50 pounds and occasionally lift to 75 pounds.
- Will occ asio nally have repetitive foot movement.
- Will freq u ently have repetitive hand / arm movements for simp le reaching, simple and firm grasping and / or fine hand man ipulation.
- Specific vision ability required by this job includes close vision, distance vision, co lor vision, peripheral vision, depth perception an d the ability to adjust focus.
- Regularly requi red to stand; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects; and reach with hands and arms.
- Must be able to wear g love s occasionally.
Language Skills :
Must ha v e communication skills in English , both writt en a nd verbally. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance inst ruct ions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to writ e routine reports and communicate via em ail system.
Mathematical Skills :
Must be proficient in ma them atics. Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
Ability to perform these operations u sing units of American money and weight measurem e nts, volume, and distance.
Reasoning Ability :
Ability to apply c omm on sense understanding to carry out instr uctions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Work Environment :

Work is performed in a wareho use distribution center environment.
The employe e is frequently exposed to vibrations and dust and will be working around moving machinery.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate at low d eci bels.
Must be able to work in a fast paced, t eam environment.
