Responsibilities
Responsible for supervising assigned staff in accordance with their job descriptions, maintaining a high standard of work and is responsible for timely and accurate reporting on all shifts.
Remains cognizant of accrediting agency requirements and maintains manuals, logs, and other documents to their standards.
Is aware of and implements fire and safety regulations. Aids in developing and implementing all policies relating to Quality Assurance, Quality Control, the handling, and disposal of hazardous materials within their section.
Shows leadership, delegates responsibility, establishes accountability among his / her staff, participates in and encourages continuing education.
Performs regular in-services, orientates new staff, performs annual evaluation and prepares work schedules, maintains inventory and staffing within budgetary limitations.
Responsible for all Medical Technologist duties. Performs bench work from time to time as needed and in accordance with Policy and Procedures.

About Universal Health Services
Qualifications
Education : bachelor’s degree in clinical laboratory, Chemical, or Biological Science.
Experience : 5 years of pertinent Clinical Laboratory experience, with at least 2 years’ experience at the technologist level Training :
Licensure : Florida State licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Supervisor is required. This Laboratory requires licensure in the specialties of Hematology, Clinical Chemistry, and Immunohematology.
Serology and Microbiology. ASCP certification preferred.
Other : Communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills and customer service skills required.
