SMT Operator, Surface-Mount, PCB, Manufacturing - SMT

The SMT Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining surface mount technology (SMT) equipment and performing PCB assembly.

This position will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and efficiency of the SMT process.

Responsibilities Include The Following

• Set up and operate SMT machines and equipment
• Load and unload materials onto the SMT machine
• Monitor and adjust machine settings to ensure proper placement of components on PCBs
• Inspect boards for defects and troubleshoot any issues with the SMT process
• Perform routine machine maintenance and cleaning
• Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
• Work collaboratively with other team members to meet production goals and deadlines
• Keep accurate records and documentation of production activities

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, with Associates or Bachelors degree a PLUS
• At least 2 years of experience operating SMT machines in a manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of SMT processes and equipment, including surface mount machines
• Familiarity with PCB assembly techniques and electronic components
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and schematics
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high levels of accuracy
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
• Basic computer skills and experience with data entry and record keeping
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
