SMT Operator, Surface-Mount, PCB, Manufacturing - SMT
The SMT Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining surface mount technology (SMT) equipment and performing PCB assembly.
This position will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and efficiency of the SMT process.
Responsibilities Include The Following
- Set up and operate SMT machines and equipment
- Load and unload materials onto the SMT machine
- Monitor and adjust machine settings to ensure proper placement of components on PCBs
- Inspect boards for defects and troubleshoot any issues with the SMT process
- Perform routine machine maintenance and cleaning
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
- Work collaboratively with other team members to meet production goals and deadlines
- Keep accurate records and documentation of production activities
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent, with Associates or Bachelors degree a PLUS
- At least 2 years of experience operating SMT machines in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of SMT processes and equipment, including surface mount machines
- Familiarity with PCB assembly techniques and electronic components
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and schematics
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high levels of accuracy
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Basic computer skills and experience with data entry and record keeping
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
