Key Responsibilities

  • Ministry Integration : Develop and oversee systems, workflows and structures that support ministry alignment and effectiveness.
  • Operations Oversight : Manage church database, calendar and facility use for maximum ministry impact.
  • Communications Leadership : Lead internal and external communication strategies, ensuring consistency across all platforms (website, email, social media, print).
  • Team Development : Recruit, equip and lead volunteers or part-time staff supporting operations and communications.
  • Leadership Collaboration : Help contribute to vision and strategy.

Qualifications

  • A vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ and alignment with Ankeny Free Church’s mission and values.
  • Leadership experience in organizational strategy, communications or ministry operations (church or nonprofit preferred).
  • Strong skills in strategic planning, systems-building and communication.
  • Familiarity with church management systems (e.g., Planning Center, Breeze) a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in organizational leadership, communications or ministry leadership preferred.

    • Compensation & Schedule

  • Full-time, on-site position with some evening / weekend availability.
  • Competitive salary commensurate with experience.
