The Interventional Cardiology Chief PA responsibilities include interviewing and training new PAs, general supervision of PAs, assisting in reviewing performance, assisting in the discipline of PAs, preparing work schedules, assisting with payroll, assisting in the development and implementation of policies and procedures, liaising between department staff, nursing units, referring physicians, house staff officers, and secretarial staff, assisting with administrative issues for all department PAs, and participating in leadership activities and training.
The Chief PA oversees all the PAs in the Interventional Cardiology section and travels between Moses and Weiler campuses as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required, Master's preferred
- Physician Assistant license by New York State and certified by the National Commission on the Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
- Graduate of an accredited PA program
- Cardiology experience preferred
- 5 years of leadership experience as a Physician Assistant
- Able to travel between Moses and Weiler campuses, as needed
