We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President, Network Engineer to join our Technology Services Group (TSG) - Network Production Services Organization .

This role is in our Pittsburgh, PA or Lake Mary, FL sites via hybrid work arrangement (3 days per week in office required) .

Candidates must reside within a commutable distance to this work location, as we are unable to accommodate 100% virtual work arrangements.

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways :

• Designing and implementing network architectures to support data center services, cloud and virtualization throughout the BNY global landscape.
• Design and configure Data Center network architectures using the latest technologies in network services.
• Collaborating with other teams to ensure seamless integration of network infrastructure with servers, storage, and applications.
• Implementing security measures to protect data center networks.
• Staying current with the latest networking technologies and trends to ensure the data center network infrastructure is optimized and up to date.
• Participating in the design and implementation of disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
• Documenting network infrastructure and configurations for reference and troubleshooting purposes.
• Developing and maintaining relationships with vendors and partners to ensure the smooth operation of the network infrastructure.

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following :

Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required; advanced degree preferred8-10 years of related experience required;

experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.

• Proven experience as a Data Center Network Engineer or similar role.
• Strong proficiency in data center and cloud networking concepts and protocols.
• Solid understanding of network security principles.
• Ability to develop professional documentation (diagrams, specifications, and technical requirements)
• Expert knowledge of Network Routing protocols : example eBGP, iBGP and OSPF.
• Data Center Fabric Technologies :
• Layer 3 Technology : This includes technologies such as routing protocols and network address translation (NAT) used for managing and optimizing data transmission at the network layer of the OSI model.
• Layer 2 Segmentation : This includes understanding how to segment a network at the data link layer to improve security and performance.
