Job Summary : Soliant is currently looking for a compassionate and committed School-Based Physical Therapist to join our team.
In this role, you will be instrumental in enhancing the quality of life and educational journey of students facing physical disabilities or impairments.
Key Responsibilities :
- Perform thorough assessments to identify the physical therapy needs of students and devise personalized treatment plans.
- Utilize evidence-based physical therapy methods and strategies to improve students' motor skills, mobility, and overall physical well-being.
- Work collaboratively with educators, special education professionals, and other experts to foster an inclusive and supportive learning atmosphere for students with physical challenges.
- Deliver direct physical therapy services to students, both individually and in group settings, employing appropriate therapeutic techniques and equipment.
- Engage in multidisciplinary meetings, including Individualized Education Program (IEP) sessions, to contribute to students' educational plans and objectives.
- Maintain accurate and current records, including progress reports, treatment notes, and billing documentation, adhering to school policies and regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications :
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Valid state licensure or certification as a Physical Therapist.
- Previous experience working with children or adolescents with physical disabilities, preferably in a school environment.
- Sound understanding of pediatric physical therapy principles, methods, and interventions.
- Proficiency in using therapeutic equipment and tools pertinent to school-based physical therapy.
