Our client, a denim powerhouse based in NYC, is currently seeking a Vice President of Sales. This role is responsible for developing and implementing sales strategy and initiatives while maintaining ongoing contact with existing and potential customers.
Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following :
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and build the sales long range plans
- Maintain collaborative and very strong relationships with both external partners and internal cross-functional teams to ensure success and accomplishment of target goals
- Liaise with Design and Planning teams to identify project sales and monitor core fashion and key item opportunities.
- Develop, manage and oversee all wholesale account relationships and business development
- Analyze and react to current sales and commerce trends
- Responsible for identifying sales growth opportunities and participating in negotiations to close strategic opportunities
- Travel for in-person meetings with retailers and partners to nurture key relationships, resolve any high-level issues and maintain a strong knowledge of the retail partner's strategic plans
- Maintain a strong knowledge of competitive activity and utilize information when creating account strategies
- Partner closely with CEO and CFO for forecasting sales strategies
- Responsible for developing and coordinating the monthly estimate process
- Create a culture of success and goal achievement and implement strategies which support the needs of the sales teams, operations and required resources to deliver profitable growth

Qualifications :
- Bachelor's Degree
- 7+ years of relevant experience
- Interpersonal interactions such as coaching, negotiating, selling and making group presentations
- Proficient in Retail Math, including Gross Margin analysis and Open to Buy
- Ability to perform complex verbal and written communications face to face and in group settings
Salary Range : $220,000-$250,000 DOE
