Basic Function

The New Business Development Manager position is dedicated to developing strategic business growth in the assigned OEM / market space leveraging existing and new innovative APS products with a primary focus on Heavy Truck, Recreation and Thermoforming Markets.

The Business Development Manager will be re-sponsible for developing and implementing a strategic market growth plan and acting as the key subject matter expert for LyondellBasell across these business segments. #LI-LL2

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Develop a strategic growth roadmap for market space including identification of new applications, material gap needs, new customers and OEM's, and competition in market.
  • Works with Sales, Marketing, Technical teams on buy-in and execution of growth roadmap.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with key decision makers at the OEM and their Strategic Tier Accounts
  • Utilizes tools such as Salesforce, Accolade to drive pipeline of opportunities and developments through stage gate process with a cross functional team
  • Develop, implement and maintain a key account plan the OEM and Strategic Tier Accounts (working with the individual Account mangers)
  • Lead project teams in new material developments including Sustainability initiatives

Min. Qualifications

Education Requirements :

Bachelor's Degree Scientific, Technical or Business field is preferred or 20 years' experience in related field.

Experience Requirements :

  • 10 years or more of relevant professional experience in commercial or technical role with familiarity with B-B sales and business development.
  • OEM Business Development, sales or technical experience. Heavy Truck, Recreation and Thermoform-ing experience a plus.
  • Travel as needs dictate- up to 50% for internal and customer related meetings
  • Project Management experience in related field
  • Technical expertise with polymers preferred for application performance and material specifications
  • Capability to manage across a matrix organization including with global teams and business partners.
