Busy, highly successful, and well-established civil litigation and insurance defense law firm based in Long Beach since 1979 with 40+ attorneys, and offices in Northern California, is seeking attorneys to join our growing team.
This is a great opportunity for lawyers seeking an active trial practice to learn litigation skills from highly respected, experienced trial lawyers in high-stakes litigation in a collegial, team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct legal research and draft memoranda, opinions, pleadings, motions, and other legal documents;
- Advocates for clients in court, in administrative hearings, and in other legal proceedings;
- Advise clients on a variety of legal matters;
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and other professionals in various venues;
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients;
- Prepare pre-trial briefs, jury instructions, and other trial court documents;
- Prepare and argue appeals;
- Identify areas of risk and develop strategies for mitigating losses;
- Negotiate successful resolutions to disputes.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
- Admission to a state bar
- 3 - 7+ years of insurance defense experience
