Virtual School Audiologist
Location : Nevada, USA (Remote)
Position Type : Work-From Home, Next School Year Contract Opportunity
Pay : $35 / Hour
As a Virtual School Audiologist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that students with hearing impairments have access to the support they need to succeed academically.
You will work remotely, providing comprehensive audiological services to students enrolled in our virtual school program across Nevada.
Your primary responsibilities will include :
- Conducting virtual assessments to evaluate students' hearing abilities and identify any hearing impairments or related issues.
- Developing and implementing individualized audiological plans for students, in collaboration with teachers, parents, and other members of the education team.
- Providing recommendations for assistive listening devices, accommodations, and other support services to enhance students' learning experiences.
- Monitoring students' progress and making adjustments to intervention plans as needed.
- Collaborating with teachers and other education professionals to ensure that students' audiological needs are addressed in the virtual learning environment.
- Providing training and support to teachers and parents on strategies for supporting students with hearing impairments.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, interventions, and progress reports for each student.
Qualifications :
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Audiology from an accredited institution.
- Current license to practice audiology in the state of Nevada.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
- Experience working with children and adolescents with hearing impairments, preferably in a school setting.
- Strong knowledge of audiometric assessment techniques and assistive listening devices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, parents, teachers, and other education professionals in a virtual environment.
- Comfortable using technology platforms for virtual assessments and consultations.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
