The Miami Job Corps Center provides students with the opportunity to earn their High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED), and hands-on training in the following areas : Certified Nurse Assistant, Clinical Medical Assistant, Medical Administration Assistant, Patient Care Technician, Plumbing, Painting, Security and Protective Services, HVAC, Landscaping, Electrical, and Building Construction Technology.

Responsibilities :
Provide Compassionate Care :
- Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care to students, addressing their physical and emotional needs.
- Foster a supportive and trusting relationship with students, creating an environment where they feel safe and cared for.
Health Promotion and Education :
- Conduct health assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Educate students on health and wellness, empowering them to make informed choices for a healthier lifestyle.
Collaboration and Teamwork :
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, counselors, and educators to provide comprehensive care and support to students.
- Participate in interdisciplinary meetings to ensure a holistic approach to student well-being.
Emergency Response :
- Be prepared to respond to medical emergencies promptly and efficiently.
- Conduct drills and training sessions to enhance the preparedness of the center for emergency situations.
Health Records Management :
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date health records for all students.
- Ensure compliance with health regulations and standards.

Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- LPN Certification from an accredited program and a valid, active, unrestricted in-state license to practice as an LPN required.
- A minimum of one year of health care experience preferred.
- Regional Approval required.
- Experience in working with young individuals or in an educational setting is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
